After Jesper Ganslandt's successful debute film, Farewell Falkenberg, he now follows it up with his second feature The Ape, a Fasad AB production. Filmgate were asked to take part on producing photorealisitc vfx for this feature.

Krister, husband and father, wakes up to the aftermath of a tragedy. He finds it difficult to rebuild his life and is left feeling trapped by the day to day demands of life, and soon finds that there is no place left to run and is forced to confront his actions.

The Ape is a movie about the desire to hold on to what has already been lost.
How do you wake up in a new reality and understand what is left, when all the things you once had now are gone?
