Kronjuvelerna (The Crown Jewels)

Filmgate is one of the nominees for the 2011 Guldbagge Award. Håkan Blomdahl and Tor-Björn Olsson are nominated for the best visual effects in Kronjuvelerna (The Crown Jewels). Filmgate provided the production with a 3D goldfish, matte paintings, jumping hockey players and much much more fun stuff. Filmgate also provided on set supervision.
The Guldbagge Award is an official Swedish film award awarded annually since 1964 by the Swedish Film Institute. In June 2011 the board of the Swedish Film Institute decided to adopt new regulations and accepted Best Visual Effects as one of the additional award categories. Thus, this is the first time in the Guldbagge's history when the Best Visual Effects category is running for the award, and Filmgate feel very proud to be one of the first three nominees selected for the prize.
Fragancia sneaks one late night up to
the big director house. In the dark the is confronted by the
director's son Richard Persson, a young man with a remarkable scar on
his forehead. A shot is fired, Richard falls to the ground and
Fragancia is arrested for the deed. In the coming interrogations
Fragancia's life is unfolded. It starts at birth, where Richard and
Fragancia gets mixed up at the maternity ward. When growing up their
are confronted time and time again. Fragancia and her little brother
Jésus life takes an unexpected turn and we get to follow a life story
in a magical as well as a dramatic environment.
