Lukas Moodysson returns with his first English-language feature drama ”Mammoth”, starring Michelle Williams and Gael Garcia Bernal. The film is produced by Memfis and shot on location in Thailand, the Phillippines, New York and Trollhättan, Sweden.

The story introduces a successful New York couple, the surgeon Ellen (Williams), her husband Leo (Bernal), their daughter Jackie and the family’s Filipina nanny, Gloria, who has left two little sons behind in order to provide a future for them. The New York couple appears to be closely knit as the film starts off, but as Leo goes off on a business trip to Bangkok, unexpected events take place on both sides of the world; events that question the concept of family – and the importance of what we call home.

Filmgate has contributed to Moodysson's feature with 3D animation and compositing for the planetarium scenes (creating the earth, moon and nebulas in space) as well as other compositing jobs.
