In July Filmgate worked on Mangus, Filmgate's first Independent American movie for grading and vfx. This also represented Filmgate Films first international US co-production. Ash Christian (writer/director) flew to Sweden to oversee the work process and grading and was very pleased with the work and professionalism provided.

Mangus Spedgwick has had one dream his whole life… He wants to be Jesus – in his high school’s annual production of “Jesus Christ Spectacular”, that is. When unforeseen circumstances strike, Mangus loses the role, which was a Spedgewick family tradition. Will he get to be their town’s first crippled Jesus? Not without a hard fight, a road trip and breaking the law a few times along the way.

The film stars talents Jennifer Coolidge, known as Stifler's mom in "American Pie", "Legally Blond" and "Best in Show".  Heather Matarazzo is both producing and playing a character named Jessica Simpson in this film. Ms. Matarazzo was last seen in “Hostel 2” but is best known for her role of Dawn Weiner in “Welcome to the Dollhouse” for which she won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance. She is also frequently recognized from her roles in “The Princess Diaries” franchise, in which she co-stars with Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews, as well as the hit “Saved!”. John Waters stars as Jesus in this film.
