(2012)Filmgate is currently in the pre-production stage of its sixth feature production, “Filth”, starring James McAvoy ("X-Men: First Class", 2011), Jamie Bell ("The Adventures of Tintin", 2011) and Brendan Gleeson ("In Bruges", 2008).
Filth is a comedy / drama based on a novel written by Irvine Welsh, who is also known for his novel “Trainspotting”. The big-screen adaptation of Welsh's controversial novel is a story of a bipolar bigoted junkie cop, who manipulates and hallucinates his way through the festive season in a bid to secure promotion and win back his wife and daughter.
When the film enters the post-production phase, Filmgate will supply the production with visual effects. A part of the feature will be recorded in Sweden, Trollhättan, in February 2012.
