Filmgate was asked by Daniel Andersson of GötaFilm to work on the sequel to SVT's hit drama series of 2005: 'Saltön', which returns with four eagerly awaited, brand new episodes. When we return to Saltön summer has given way to winter and the tourists have gone, leaving the island's original inhabitants wrestling with one of humanity's eternal questions: love - and it is never plain sailing! While we can't give the characters advice on their love lives, Filmgate was given the task of retouching to ensure continuity, title scenes and credits.

Carin Mannheimer's script promises romance and travel, and a couple of new characters to stir the pot. The screenplay is adapted from Viveca Lärn's novels.
